I imagine this piece as theme between two opposing leaders who have already justified their need to go to war.

This is another piece that I had written for Rudy McClain’s Merlove. It was not a good fit so it ended up not being used. It is a light mellow piece with piano as the main instrument and strings to carry the melody.

More often than not, I choose the names to the titles of these tracks based on how I feel after listening to it. This can take anywhere from 5 minutes to 5 days. After listening to this untitled piece for the last week, one common emotion kept coming back to me — the feeling of plotting something devious.

This track features some piano along with some lite ambient accompaniment. The original plan was to have a vocal track of someone speaking dubbed on top with this music primarily being the background. My indecisiveness however wouldn’t let pick what vocal track to use; or what exactly to create of my own. Maybe one day I’ll come back and add something more. In the meantime …

Here is another piece I wrote for Rudy McClain’s documentary Merlove. Sadly, it didn’t quite fit in with the film so it was not used. It however is my favorite of the pieces that I did write for the film.

This piece contains some light drum beats with some synth chords accompanying it. On top, is something that is one of my old favorites — some melodic feedback.

This piece is a melodic group of strings. It’s purpose is to invoke the feeling of an inner struggle with bravery and courage being the virtues that are the driving force in this journey. This is my favorite style to compose in and I will do my best to not flood this project with these sort of pieces.
Enjoy!

This track is an example of me stepping out of my comfort zone and trying something different. I have to admit, this piece grew on me as I was reviewing it this past week. If you can get past the Kenny-G-Like high notes of the lead melody, it’s not that bad.
Enjoy!

For my first post I had to use a piece I created for Rudy McClain’s documentary Merlove. This is a light airy fun piece featuring a tuba and an accordion as the lead instruments.
More importantly, this song will be featured in the next screening of Merlove at the Sonoma International Film Festival on April 3rd!! I only hope that I continue to get great chances like the one this film maker has given me. Thanks Rudy!
Enjoy!
